This document will give readers the outline of defense procurement and RDT&E spending for 2013. We obtained it outside of normal channels before today’s official budget briefing so we can offer it to you with a clear conscience.

There are few surprises here for readers of Breaking Defense. Among the trends to watch: look at the decreased spending on Army combat vehicles from Abrams tanks to Strykers; look across the Navy’s shipbuilding program for the broad capital cuts to programs such as the Joint High Speed Vessel; note the overall decrease in Air Force aircraft spending.
