Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a business of the newly formed Raytheon Technologies, is built on a foundation of advanced innovation and excellence in engineering. Offering speed, synergy and the complete threat solution, the business will help redefine its industry through transformative technologies and initiatives that bring a lasting benefit for global customers.
“We see the world through a global lens, and we’ve built a new solid foundation to bring end-to-end solutions to our customers to counter modern emerging threats,” said Raytheon Missiles & Defense President Wesley D. Kremer.
Kremer leads 30,000 employees and is responsible for a broad portfolio of air and missile defense systems, precision weapons, radars, command and control systems, and advanced defense technologies.
“We want to be the place our customers turn to tackle their most complex challenges and toughest threats,” Kremer said.
Raytheon Technologies launched in April 2020, upon the successful merger of Raytheon Company and United Technologies Corporation. The merger brought together two companies with nearly 200 years of combined innovation and experience in aviation, defense and intelligence.
Now Raytheon Missiles & Defense, which produces missile defense systems, precision weapons and related technologies, is focused on the end-to-end threat solution, offering unprecedented value. Formed from Raytheon Missile Systems and Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, two former business units of Raytheon Company, Raytheon Missiles & Defense will be a “powerhouse,” according to Kremer.
The business is poised to grow and deliver the most advanced military technology. It offers a wide-ranging portfolio of premier global franchises, including Global Patriot Solutions, the U.S. Navy’s SPY-6 family of radars, Tomahawk® cruise missiles, the Standard Missile family of interceptors, the Army Navy/Transportable Radar Surveillance, and the USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) systems program.

Customers will now have better alignment and more efficient processes as they interact with the new business. By offering the complete kill chain, Raytheon Missiles & Defense will deliver faster results, greater synergy and lower costs.

“Global customers will experience the direct benefit of working with a streamlined, nimble organization with resources to address their needs,” Kremer said.
