Breaking Defense is pleased to announce that Jerry Foley is coming on board as Senior Director, International Sales & Business Development. In this key role, Foley will provide media-marketing solutions and account representation for significant US clients of Breaking Defense while also spearheading business development for growing markets of Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America. He starts January 22.
Jerry Foley has 20 years experience in the business-to-government media sector, with a focus on defense and federal IT business development, marketing, sales and communication strategies. Foley joins Breaking Defense from Foreign Policy magazine, where he was Director of Strategic Partnerships, charged with building their defense and national security business portfolio. Prior to that, Foley served as Managing Director for Government Matters, where he guided content and client strategies for the defense and federal broadcast outlet. Previously, Foley also worked at Defense News and C4ISRNET for nearly 12 years, ultimately promoted to Vice President for Global Sales & Strategy. Foley began his career at Government Executive Media Group, where he helped manage digital operations. He holds a masters in business management, strategy and leadership from Michigan State University and a BA in government from Georgetown University.
