CSO Gen. Chance Saltzman said that the service is already looking at "criteria and processes" for future changes to integrate operations and sustainment, and better align with acquisition efforts.
SPACECOM is "looking at" whether it would make sense to combine two of its operational centers, Gen. Jim Dickinson said.

"The alignment of task forces and operational centers under one commander will provide USSPACECOM a command-and-control structure that enables rapid action to deliver agile and responsive space effects in support of integrated deterrence," said SPACECOM head Gen. Jim Dickinson.
It remains to be seen if the creation of a new Joint Force Space Component Command will help or hurt the chain of command for military space.
"We're looking internally to my headquarters, as well as here at Peterson, to bring some of our great allies and partners into our staff and into our operations and processes here at the Combatant Command level as well," said SPACECOM head Gen. James Dickinson.
