The Air Force wants software "that can be fielded in the next two years and incrementally improved upon and integrated into EW systems currently in development for the F-15."
The Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) will let pilots to monitor, jam and deceive threats in contested airspace.
"There's definitely a big future for the export version of the AN/APG-82," says Michelle Styczynski, F-15 Senior Product Line Director for Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
The RFI is one of the first industry solicitations since the Air Force announced in April 2019 an overhaul of its EW operations to counter Russian and Chinese advances, and to enable multi-domain operations.
