The modular payloads will be integrated onto Anduril's Ghost Shark and C2 Robotics' Speartooth unmanned underwater vehicles as well as Ocius's Bluebottle unmanned surface vessel (USV), the Australian DoD said in an announcement.
"With the opening of this new facility, we are not only building local infrastructure and workforce — we are investing in innovation, in partnerships, and in the future defence of our nation," said CEO and Chairman Australia David Goodrich.

Australia will invest 1.7 billion AUD (1.13 billion USD) for the delivery, maintenance and continued development of the Ghost Shark in Australia over the next five years, according to a news release today issued by the Australian Department of Defence.
"What we have been able to do with the Australian navy has begun to make believers" in robotic submarine technology, said Anduril Chief Strategy Officer Chris Brose.
Defense Industry Minister Pat Conroy said Anduril's Ghost Shark is part of the Australian military's $5.2 billion to $7.2 billion investment in undersea uncrewed maritime systems.
"Due to its modular and multi-role nature, our adversaries will need to assume that their every move in the maritime domain is subject to our surveillance and that every [sub drone] is capable of deploying a wide range of effects, including lethal ones," says Rear Adm. Peter Quinn.
