WASHINGTON: Welcome to the sixth of our video stories drawn from our almost hour-long interview with Preston Dunlap, Chief Architect of the Air and Space Forces. From that position, Dunlap helps guide the complex and far-reaching work the Air and Space Forces are doing in All Domain Operations, on JADC2,and, most centrally, on the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS).
The F-35 is beginning to take on the role of data quarterback for the Air Force and feeding the data to the rest of the force through ABMS. Since so much of its data is highly classified one of the key functions ABMS will have to serve is as a scrubber and distributor of that data so some of those 1,000 kill chains in the pocket of the warfighter can use it.
