Special Operations Command’s fleet of MH-60Ms and MH-47Gs — operated by the 160th Nightstalkers Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) — could benefit from technology injections coming from the MV-75 Cheyenne, said PEO Rotary Wing Steve Smith.
Lawmakers expressed concern over the Army's proposed budget, which takes an ax to high-profile legacy helicopter procurement.
“We don’t have those organic to the Army. So I think we need to solve our own problems, and think about how do we do our own, let’s call it logistical resupply in the air, of an MV-75,” Maj. Gen. Clair Gill, PAE of Maneuver Air, said.

“Ultimately, we'll have to make some risk decisions about when the performance of the system is not going to keep pace with the schedule," Maj. Gen. Clair Gill told Breaking Defense.
"We have a new tiltrotor aircraft, and it was supposed to be delivered in 2031, 2032 and we said, 'No, we need it, you know, very quickly,'" the Army chief of staff said.
